One of our good friends wanted to know if I had any use for a bunch of small plastic bottles with lids that she had collected. I asked her the size and they sounded perfect for screw and small hardware storage. Well a couple of days later I had five dozen or so containers sitting in my shop. Now I had to figure out where to put them all that I could still access them, preferrably where I could see them.
So I came up with this:
Looks like a bunch of little shelves that hold the containers. (I could have picked a better color than pink for the lids, but the price was right.) In trying to layout the shelves for maximum storage, I found that if I went with five shelves I wouldn't be able to pull the containers out. So I used small bunge cords to hold the containers in place when the shelves opened.
To get to everything on the shelves beind the container shelves both sides open.
So that took care of about three dozen of the containers (the red and white topped containers are from an earlier score). Still need to find somewhere to put the remaining two dozen.
