I cut full sheets of plywood often enough that I need a large outfeed table. But working in a garage, I don't have room to have 7 or 8 feet of outfeed table all the time. So I came up with an outfeed table that folds up out of the way when it's not needed. Here's what I came up with:
A small cabinet that gives me a short outfeed table all the time. It's attached to the back of the saw, but I don't move the saw around so thats not a problem. When I need a bit more outfeed table I can extend the first part:
As you can see the second part acts as a leg for the first fold-out part. If I need still more outfeed room I can unfold both sections:
This gives me almost 8 feet of outfeed support. As you can see I still need to apply laminate to cover the plywood used for the top of the outfeed cabinet. The white fold-up part is made from a hollow core door that I cut in half, glued in some wood, where it was cut, and attached together with a piano hinge. A roller support, holds everything up when it all unfolded.
